Teaologi – how it all began…
Teaologi skin care was founded and developed in April 2007. When I was pregnant with my second child, I paid closer attention to the skincare products I was using. I wanted to avoid using as many chemicals and preservatives as possible. I started looking at the ingredients and I noticed that my day to day products were loaded with harsh chemicals like Parabens and Sodium Laurel/Laureth Sulfates (which have been linked to cancer and skin irritation).
I decided to begin making my own products with natural and organic ingredients. While I was formulating with different products, I discovered the many anti-aging benefits of Green Tea Extract. Although it has been used for thousands of years as an anti-aging supplement in teas, science is now discovering all the benefits Green Tea Extract has on skin. Green Tea helps by smoothing and minimizing wrinkles. It regenerates the skin on a cellular level, eliminates free radicals and protects skin from sun damage.
Teaologi products are made with other powerful antioxidants, rich essential oils and hydrating butters. Although our products do contain some preservatives (which is needed to extend a shelf life of 6 to 12 months), they are still recommended as safe by the FDA and are added at extremely low levels (less than 1%).
Since developing the Teaologi product line, I have decided to create a Men and Baby line too. These products are currently under development and will be launched very soon.
